How do I care for my bouquet flowers?
We source the finest blooms from New Zealand and around the world. With a little care, your flowers should stay fresh for 4-7 days. Follow these simple steps to keep them looking their best:
- Start with a Clean Vase.
- Trim the Stems at a 45-Degree Angle under running water when possible. This creates a larger drinking surface and reduces air bubbles that can block water flow.
- Keep Flowers Away from Fruit, as ethylene from ripening fruit will shorten their lifespan.
- Place in a Cool Spot.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight, Drafts, and Air Conditioning.
Maintain Water Levels and Change Water Every Two Days to keep them hydrated and healthy.
How do I care for my flowers in a box or floral cake?
Flowers in a Box and Floral Cakes use floral foam and the average longevity of flowers are 3-7 days with some proper care:
1. Watering the Foam. Floral foam holds water for flowers but dries out faster than water in a vase. Check the foam daily and gently add water to keep it moist. Pour water slowly and evenly to avoid overflow.
2. Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat. Place the arrangement in a cool area, away from direct sunlight, heaters, or drafts, as heat can speed up wilting. Flowers last longer in a cooler environment.
3. Check for Spoiled Flowers. Remove any wilted or decayed flowers right away to keep the rest fresh. This also prevents bacteria from spreading to healthy flowers.
4. Avoid Moving the Arrangement. Moving it around can disturb the stems in the foam, which can impact water absorption and cause flowers to wilt faster.
With regular care, flowers in floral foam can stay beautiful for several days to a week or more, depending on the types of flowers and environmental conditions.
Can I choose the colour of my fresh florals?
We strive to create stunning arrangements, but cannot guarantee specific colours or flower types as availability varies naturally. If you have a particular request, please notify us in advance so we can try to accommodate it.
What days do you deliver, and where do you deliver?
We deliver Monday through Saturday within Auckland.
What if no one is home to accept the delivery?
If no one is available, our courier will leave the arrangement in a safe location. A re-delivery fee may apply if we need to return. We are not responsible for flowers left in extreme weather conditions.
What happens to unsuccessful delivery attempts?
If delivery is unsuccessful due to an incorrect address, no one being available to receive the order, or if the courier determines the location is not safe to leave the flowers, a re-delivery fee will apply. This fee will be the same as the original delivery charge.
Can I request a specific delivery time?
We cannot guarantee specific delivery times due to our daily schedules. Deliveries are generally completed before 6 pm, though timing may vary based on the recipient's location.
